The installation places five containers – filled, respectively, with water, tree bark, grass, rocks and cold vapour – within the reach of children’s hands. The participants are encouraged to engage in vigorous play, and as they touch the contents of each container, the motion tracking system triggers changes in the large-scale, audiovisual collage-like projection, which refers to the landscape-channelled vision of nature and, simultaneously, to the physical properties of the substances being touched. The work offers an experience of synthesis which amalgamates the personal cognizance of the principle and the moment of interaction, the gesture-activity performed on the objects and the perception of the image on the screen.
