Piano – As Image Media

An audiovisual and physical interactive instrument-sequencer. One of Iwai’s most important works, it explores the relationships between sound and image by using aleatory, generative and interactive strategies of music composition and image generation. In this way, a grand piano turns into an image-producing machine, while the user comes to compose individual, always different sounds and pictures.
