Bar Code Hotel

Over twenty years after the bar code system was introduced to mark all products, Perry Hoberman uses the visually underwhelming system, which is actually worlds apart from the state-of-the-art hi-tech, to develop an interactive installation and virtual reality. The interactive interface is provided by the entire room filled with black-and-white bar codes, which turn out to be the key to a three-dimensional and multicoloured virtual world.
