War as a theater of masculinized technological operations.

The Brotherhood – Table III (Friendly Fire)

Woody Vasulka

1994

Play

The titular brotherhood refers to the generally understood scope of the ideology of strength, the military power identified with “masculinity”, “masculine identity” and the imperative of subordinating successive aspects of reality. It allows the viewer to become a participant in a destructive theatre of operations in an installation consisting of a system of projectors, projections, mirrors and precise mechanics.
